Three people were killed on Monday when a private helicopter crashed and caught fire on the Greek island of Sifnos, fire brigade officials said.
The crash occurred at around 6:08 p.m. (1508 GMT) in the Tholos area of the Cycladic island.
The helicopter, a Bell 206 operated by Bellavia, was carrying three people, a Greek pilot and two foreign passengers, believed to be a British couple, according to preliminary information.
Firefighters found the three victims during efforts to extinguish the blaze, the fire service said.
The helicopter had been scheduled to arrive in Sifnos at 6:15 p.m.It had taken off from Markopoulo, near Athens, according to preliminary information.
Police arrived at the scene shortly after the crash and cordoned off the area, while the fire service took charge of the preliminary investigation.
The flight was reportedly operated on a daily basis.
